The Wicklow Solicitors Bar Association announced the appointment of Damien Conroy as President at their AGM this week. Damien has been a member of the Wicklow Bar Association since 2012, and previously acted as Committee Member and Honorary Secretary between 2012 and 2021.
Speaking on his appointment, Damien said: “I am privileged and honoured to accept the Presidency of the Wicklow Bar Association. I am looking forward to devoting my energy to raising the profile of the Wicklow Bar Association and representing the views of our members during my Presidency.”
Damien currently works in the General Litigation Department at ACL, dealing with a wide range of claims including personal injury, professional and medical negligence, financial mis-selling, defamation, commercial disputes, and employment law.
Damien is also involved in education and regularly lectures students the Law Society on the topics of Personal Injury and Professional Negligence.

Previous to joining ACL, in 2004 Damien graduated from Trinity College with an honour’s degree. He then qualified as a solicitor in January 2010 having trained with a well-known Dublin City Centre firm. Damien has obtained several post-graduate diplomas in, Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law, Commercial Litigation and most recently Social Media and Media Law.
